Dr Sinan Albayati is a colorectal and general surgeon providing services to patients in Sydney’s west and southwest. He completed his medical degree at Otago University in New Zealand. He continued his surgical training in general surgery in Australia and became a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2012. He then undertook specialised training in colorectal surgery at major teaching hospitals including Liverpool, Westmead and Bankstown Hospitals. He completed a formal colorectal surgical training program run by the Australia and New Zealand Training Board in Colon and Rectal Surgery and is a member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ).
Dr Albayati has completed a Master of Surgery (Colorectal) at the University of Sydney and a PhD at UNSW assessing non-operative and operative (including robotic) management of rectal prolapse.
Dr Albayati believes in patient empowerment through providing patients with knowledge about their health condition and the various management options including surgical and non-surgical. He actively engages patients and gives them the confidence needed to make informed decision about their own health care.
